What will you learn?

Three things decide whether you pass the employer's coding test and keep your quality scores high at work. The course is built around all three.

The code sets

ICD-10-CM for diagnoses, CPT and HCPCS Level II for procedures and services, ICD-10-PCS for inpatient stays, and the modifiers that change how a claim is paid.

What is medical coding?

The rules behind the codes

Official coding guidelines, E/M leveling, NCCI edits, medical necessity, HIPAA and OIG compliance priorities. This is what separates a coder from a code searcher.

The core program takes about three to four months, with another four to eight weeks of certification preparation if you plan to take the CPC or CCS exam.
